Car wash and electrical issues.

There’s no doubt that the drive in car wash has made our lives considerably easier and the sight of the Sunday morning car clean on the drive has all but vanished there is something to consider though. If you are having intermittent electrical issues with your windows for example your car may be suffering from ‘swallowing’ a splash of water. The powerful jet washers they use should be kept at a suggested distance from the bodywork so that rubber seals aren’t penetrated and water ingress occurs. However, this isn’t always the case and when water and electrics mix the outcome is always a guaranteed problem. If this is something you are experiencing avoid the car wash to give the car’s internals time to dry out. If the problem disappears you may have to get the bucket and sponge out yourself,  or visit the garage where we can take a look at the seals and any damage that may have occurred.
